After a couple of days of rather nasty weather, it got sunny enough to venture out again, even if the sea still looked a bit mad at us all. This time I headed out towards the north beaches, not quite sure how far I’d actually get. I have to confess that I didn’t get super far, but I definitely got a good idea as to what D\u00e9nia looks and feels like on the other side. There were very few people out at this time, the wind was quite unpleasant, and the waves large, at least for Med standards. That didn’t stop a couple of brave souls from wading in, but then again, I suppose cold resistance is greater when you’re in love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also spotted a very nice doggo and his human enjoying both the water and whatever sticks he found on the beach. Other than that, my walk felt very solitary, and, after a while, I was once again totally alone. I don’t mind the solitude. I’ve always been of the mindset that if you can’t stand being alone, nobody else can stand being with you either. I do a lot of writing of this blog in my head when I walk; unfortunately, by the time I sit down to write much of it has already disappeared into the ether. Though I do think this process actually helps me remember moments I would have otherwise forgotten by the time I cross a threshold. The pictures help too, of course. Isn’t it great that we don’t have to wait until a roll of film was processed?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
